Small-cap momentum & gappers
Also known as Warrior-style. Intraday trading in low-float, low-price stocks with high volatility. Premarket and the first hour matter most.
Warrior Trading focuses on fast small-cap moves, often in the first hour or two: low float, prices from single digits to the low twenties, a news catalyst and extreme relative volume. Opening drives, first pullbacks and halt resumptions are examples. These stocks can reverse fast, so risk matters.
How the setup works
Small caps move fastest when supply is thin and demand shows up all at once. A low float means few shares trade, so news and heavy buying can push the price a long way in minutes. The usual checklist is a low-priced stock, a small float, a fresh catalyst, relative volume many times normal and a stock already up strongly on the day.
Most of the action is early. Traders build a watchlist premarket, then trade the opening drive, the first pullback that holds, or a breakout over the premarket high. Halts are part of the game: a stock halted on a fast move can resume sharply in either direction.

What to watch for
Low-float stocks can drop as fast as they rise, and spreads can be wide. Dilution, offerings and halts can turn a winner into a large loss. Size small, know the exit before entering, and treat the first hour as the window: many of these stocks fade later in the day.
